Down The Hole Hammers

DTH is the dominant drilling method today and Tundra is proud to offer numerous solutions to ensure excellent hole straightness and cleaning; smooth, even walls for easy charging of explosives; deep hole drilling capacity; and efficient energy transmission.

BLAST HOLE MINING HAMMERS

Tundra's DTH blast hole mining hammers come with and without blow tubes. Our outer backhead, cases and chucks come with an optional hard surface protection.

Hammers come in sizes 3" – 8".

CONSTRUCTION HAMMERS

DHH for Construction. Down the Hole Construction Hammers

Tundra offers a wide range of conventional down hole hammers available for the deep hole drilling industry. Unmatched in longevity and penetration rates, their performance-driven products are able to drill holes from 3-1/2″ to 50-1/2″ (89 – 1283 mm) in diameter. These hammers are used in a wide range of applications from just a few feet to 1000’s of feet/metres deep. In fact, one of the deepest holes on record was drilled to 17,600 feet (5364 m) below the surface.

HORIZONTAL DIRECTIONAL DRILLING HAMMERS

Tundra HDD hammers are crafted from superior quality steel, promising extended usability, maximizing the longevity and efficiency of your HDD equipment. Additionally, the singular bore design of these HDD hammers optimizes both the bore diameter and resistance to wear, providing a balance of performance and durability.

The following sizes are available:

• HDD 35 for drilling holes 3-7/8” to 4” (98 mm – 102 mm)

• HDD 40 for drilling holes 4-3/4” to 5” (121 mm – 127 mm)

• HDD 50 for drilling holes 5-3/4” to 6-1/8” (146 mm – 156 mm)

• HDD 60 for drilling holes 7″ to 7-1/2″ (178 mm – 191 mm)

• HDD 80 for drilling holes 9-3/4″ to 10″ (248 mm – 254 mm)

REVERSE CIRCULATION HAMMERS

Exclusive features of out RC hammers include the ability to change the tube without stripping the hammer. This makes clearing blockages quicker. Also, having the return tube in two pieces will keep down the cost of replacing the bottom section, which is the high wear area Finally, having the bit shroud should also increase the percentage of sample return.
